Every “vote” or link to your site helps determine the value of your site. However, it’s not just the sheer number of links your website gets. Keep track of how many times your past keywords have yielded expected results. Use the right tools to track where you rank for the keywords you target. When you link to reputable 3rd parties in your website, you are indirectly benefitting your SEO in many ways. The canonical URL tells you / Google what the source of a page is.

Writing blog content is one of the best ways to generate traffic and inbound links to your site. Marketers who blog consistently see up to 97% more organic links generated for their site. Guest blogging greatly contributes to that number if you’ve made that part of your content marketing strategy. One issue often cited by those who believe links aren’t as important to SEO today is that they believe that spammers have made them less useful as a ranking signal. User-generated content (UGC) sites and communities are two of my favourite places to find untapped keywords. To be sure, stealing and republishing someone else’s content without their permission is a terrible practice, and doing this frequently is an obvious sign of a spammy, low-quality website.
Target a broad content pool
So how do you determine your competition? What should you be looking for? Prevent duplicate content. Don’t confuse Google with almost similar pages. Those serve no one. Google has thousands of ranking factors and sub-factors that go into their algorithm and we could talk about them all for hours. channels also help spread content easily. Popular topics
often provide a lot of traffic.

As smart and sophisticated as search engines have become, they still understand one thing above all else: content. Content is unique, original material you create and publish on your site. Each webpage needs to have a unique title and you should try to include your primary phrase in every title of each page. Make sure at least one image file name includes your target keyword and that your target keyword is part of your image Alt Text.
